The Community COVID Coalition is an initiative of the CDC Foundation in partnership with the National Governors Association (NGA) and the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO).
The Coalition helps states educate communities about the importance and role of contact tracing in slowing the spread of COVID-19 and focuses on the most fundamental aspect of contact tracing: communicating quickly and effectively with diverse communities.

The Coalition offers participating states culturally relevant social media resources to reach target audiences and support their state contact tracing efforts.

See Resources

The resources are educational and include information about how contact tracing helps stop the spread of COVID-19, why individuals should participate in contact tracing efforts, and the basics of what individuals should expect if they are contacted. These resources have been focus-group tested and are designed to address possible barriers to participating.

The Coalition also serves as a clearinghouse for best practices for communication around contact tracing, including research, communication tools, public service announcements, and social media assets.

Coalition Advisory Group

The Coalition benefits from the advice of a Coalition Advisory Group that represents policy and public health expertise across academic, business, nonprofit and public sectors. These individuals advise the Coalition on key deliverables, measures for success, and challenges that arise during implementation of the Community COVID Coalition project.
